If there's something that everyone loves the same, it's food. And what better way to enjoy what we love more than indulging it, is sharing it with everyone!

Food Trip sa Capiz hyped up the opening of this year's Capiztahan Festival. A sumptuous luncheon treat to the Capisnon and its visitors and guests, the food trip is also a celebration of the food abundance in the province and a showcase of the city and municipalities' traditional cuisines and native delicacies that has been passed on through generations and are still preserved up to this day.

We can enjoy eating to our hearts' content, but gatherings like this mean more when it bridges the gap between our history and the present. Song and dance performances were also presented depicting the food culture and aqua-culture in the province of Capiz. Dances such as Inalimango, Bilaskogay, Pasiguin and Inilusan, interpreted by the CapSU Main Dance Troupe and CPC Sarayawan Dance Company, depicted the life and ways of our Capisnon fisherfolks and the tradition of sharing "sud-an" (viand) to neighbors.

Food Trip sa Capiz is also a means of celebrating the National Filipino Food Month which was also launched in the province. Through this meaningful event, we do not only get to #CaptureTheTaste but also capture the culture and everything of Capiz.
