Perelozai Russian Old Believer village - Lithuania by drone

Old Believer is a unique community of Lithuania that came in the 17th century as refugees from Russia, where they were persecuted. They retained their language and unique religion, often settling in extremely far-away villages, such as Perelozai, Jonava district, accessible solely by an unpaved road. We rise above its pretty church which was rebuilt to its former glory. Many of these villages have since crumbled as their inhabitants left but the churches remain, cared for by the descendants of the villagers.
