A segment from the Australian live variety show 'Hey Hey It's Saturday', which aired on the Channel Nine Network on Saturdays nights throughout Australia from 1971-1999 (on mornings from 1971-1984, on evenings from 1985-1999). This video was from the weekly 'Red Faces' talent segment on the show, which saw regular Australians attempt to gain popularity though various performances. This particular clip aired live on July 17, 1999, and featured regular Red Faces judge and Hey Hey guitarist Red Symons (formerly of Skyhooks), AFL footballer Garry Lyon (Melbourne Football Club), and American WWE wrestler Mick Foley, who was also known for his alter egos Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind. Foley was conducting a publicity tour of Australia at the time, with professional wrestling undergoing a renaissance worldwide due to the 'Monday Night Wars' between the then World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment) and World Championship Wrestling. Foley was a key part of the WWF's 'Attitude Era'.

Vaxfacts: Hey Hey It's Saturday featured Darryl Somers as host of the show, with John Blackman as announcer and voice talent (including puppet 'Dicky Knee'), Molly Meldrum as music reporter, and Red Symons and Wilbur Wilde as in house musicians.

The 'Red Faces' segment was a humorous public talent show, which saw regular judge Red Symons almost always give very low scores to contestants, often mocking them.

John Blackman passed away on June 5, 2024 at the age of 76. While not seen throughout this video clip, his voiceover work features prominently, including that of 'Dicky Knee'.
