Krk is the capital of of the largest island in Croatia and the Adriatic Sea. I did visit it before, but this time I will take you through much more of the Old town, with charming narrow street. But more importantly, I will finally take you to the town of Punat! It's a beautfil coastal town, just 6 km from Krk. Getting there is fairly interesting, along a road built into the sea and looking more like a bridge very close to water. And while the approach is anything but impressive, things change once you get to the town centre and the surprisingly long beach area, with a very nice walking/biking path. It's quite different from Rovinj, with many cafe's and kiosk-shops all along and the beach is mostly much nicer. Sadly, there's still not much to do but swim or sunbathe, but there are many people, it's much more alive and seemingly more eventful. But there are also almost no trees and walking paths through parks. So, you lose some things and get something else.

At the end, I will take you back to Krk town, along a very nice bike path (sadly, not going all the way and inaccessible when going the opposite way), to show you some more of the famous landamarks.

Special greeting goes to kids who do know the fine line between being just silly & free and displaying bad manners. Of course, it's the parents and other adults who should be teaching them and giving a good example, making sure the kids don't end up being just the same as us, but better. I mean, if every new generation is the same as the previous one it's true we're making sure things are not worse, but we also end up in an endless loop. And that means there is no progress, either, and we can kiss the better tomorrow goodbye. In a way, "tomorrow" will never even be reached.
