In this video, I break down five different ways the military laces their boots. I cover the Army lacing method, paratrooper lacing, Navy lacing, Marine Corps lacing (USMC), and how the Canadian Air Force (CAF) laces their boots.

The boot I'm using as an example is the Thursday President. It's one of my favorite service boots and is a great option for everyday wear.

All branches of the military lace their boots differently. The Army laces their boots differently than the Navy does. And paratroopers have different footwear needs and lace their boots differently than the Marines.

However, the Marines and the Canadian Air Force lace their boots surprisingly similarly. But there's one big difference.

For each boot lacing method, I break down what they look like before and after, plus the benefits and drawbacks of each style.
