Deadly bad weather hit Crete, specifically Heraklion, as a result of which a 50-year-old man died tragically when he was trapped in his car which was swept away by the rushing waters, while at the same time the search for missing persons is ongoing.

According to information from cretapost, the tragic event with the dead 50-year-old happened in Agia Pelagia when the man got trapped in his car and was dragged away by the
waters.
At the same time, residents of the area saw at least two more people being swept away by the rapids, but no further information has been released.

It is noted that one more woman was in danger of drowning when she was swept away by the strong rainwater in Lygaria. But he was very lucky and it is unknown how he managed to save himself even at the last moment.

It is noted that the fire services of the Region of Crete have been put on alert due to the occurrence of intense flooding phenomena.

In fact, the roads in the area have turned into hermetic rivers, dragging in their path from wood and stones to cars.

At the same time, houses and shops have been flooded in the area, with residents and shopkeepers not knowing what to do.
