Don't Use Extension Cords on Treadmills! | Prolongs it's life

Описание к видео Don't Use Extension Cords on Treadmills! | Prolongs it's life

Using Extension cords on your treadmill is ill advised due to something called "line drop." It's just a bad idea, especially if you do not have the right gauge wire. Moreover, if a tech or manufacturer finds out that you had it plugged in an extension cord, it may void the manufacturer's warranty. The main reason they void the warranty is because in many owner's manuals they recommend against extension cords for treadmills. And since you are the owner of the machine and decided to go against the disclaimer of the warranty, they hold you liable! Independent of machine longevity, extension cords with high current draw devices (treadmill being one of them) create heat in the wire, and if the extension cord is covered (say for esthetics), it can be a fire hazard.

Here's what we recommend: plug them into the wall outlet directly AND make sure it's the only thing on the Circuit (check your homes wiring diagram for details).
