Servicing and repairing a old Hitachi gas gun NR90GC. Nailer first fix.

These old type hitachi gas guns where quite cheap to buy, but they where far from a good gun. Very temperamental and at times unreliable.
plus spare parts where quite expensive.
Nothing even remotely like the new hikoki guns.
This one has a common fault where the wire for the switch has broken. Due to the switch being mounted in the trigger, the switch moved alone with the trigger when pressed, leading to the wire bending and eventually braking due to fatigue.
On the up side it's an easy fix with some solder and a piece of heat shrink.
These guns would also require a service more frequently than the paslode and the reed valve housing had a tendency to become loose over time, leading to blank fires.
