Let's find out how many kWh into our battery we get per gallon of gasoline.
Let's say you have cloudy weather for a few days in a row. Your battery bank might be dead. And, you are off gird, or the grid is down. What do you do? Let's check the fuel economy of recharging the battery using a generator. Also, sizing the generator to the load (battery charger) is more important than you might think.

Let's find out how many kWh into our battery we get per gallon of gasoline.

Some video footage is of my old Chevy Volt, DIY battery. It was arranged 12s, Li-NMC cells, for a maximum Voltage of 50.4V. Today I'm using 16s LiFePO4 batteries from Signature Solar.
