Cartwheels! A joyful song about doing twirling cartwheels from the album Jam On Toast: Slice #3! It has two different choruses that are sung in call and response phrases as well as a bridge section. It also showcases improvisation phrases throughout the song. In this video choose a part to sing and let's put it together to create a simple two-part song! Follow along with either the CALL phrases (Chorus A) or the RESPONSE phrases (Chorus B) and then switch parts!

In this series for the Cartwheels Recipe videos I refer to the first chorus as Part 1 or Part A with the call phrases. The second chorus of the song which answer or echo each phrase from Part A, I refer to as Part 2 or Part B as well as referring to them as response phrases. In this Recipe video you can learn to play the response phrases from Part B on xylophone. A simple melody using repeated phrases of so-mi pitch patterns and so-la patterns.
