I have been asked to show how we bring the boat ashore. It does not always go according to plan as, in a sloppy sea, it can sometimes be dificult to get it right.

Basically we hit the beach at up to 20knts (depending on conditions and the steepness of the beach) aiming at the plastic tubes that our club's boatmen have laid out for us. They then attach a steel cable and winch up at steep shingle bank and back into the boat compound.

Once at my berth I have another winch to pull Shockwave off the runway and onto three railway sleepers.
