Summary: C- means control plus, M- means alt plus
Tab: completes command or file
C-u: deletes whole line (from anywhere in the line)
C-k: deletes to end of line
C-d: delete character under cursor
M-d: delete to end of word
M-backspace: delete to beginning of word
C-a: move to start of line
C-e: move to end of line
C-b: move back one character
C-f: move forward one character
M-f: move forward one word
M-b: move back one word
C-p: move back one command
C-n: move forward one command
C-r: search through command history, again for next match
C-l: clear screen
M-u: capitalize to end of word
M-c: capitalize character under cursor, move to end of word
M-l: lowercase to end of word

Mapping having your ctrl key and caps lock key swapped is key. Also, if you are running xterm, make sure you have set the meta sends escape option toggled to use the alt key for some of these. Otherwise, you'll just get characters with accents. You can do this by control clicking on the xterm or by putting XTerm*vt100.metaSendsEscape:true in your .Xdefaults file (or by using my .Xdefaults).
