FACS Community – Supporting compliance with the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (IV)

During the 90-minute fourth session of the learning series: Supporting Compliance with the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products, the focus was on a case study from the cocoa sector and its compliance mechanisms with the EUDR. Elements of corporate social responsibility and human rights were also touched upon regarding the upcoming Corporate Social Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). The last three sessions focused on traceability systems related to the beef and coffee sectors, and cross-commodity.

It was a space for practitioners working on different commodities to exchange, understand, and discuss possible solutions to comply with the mandatory EU due diligence rules on deforestation-free global value chains.

The event was facilitated and moderated by UNDP’s Food and Agricultural Commodity Systems (FACS) team.
