SALOMON Quest 4 4D Gore-Tex Walking Boots - Review

I just bought the best pair of walking boots I've ever worn. I've planned and will be going on the most intense walk I've done to date, soon - nothing huge by the pro-hikers' standards, but the most miles I've done in consecutive days so I'm focussing on comfort and weight...

They are the SALOMON Quest 4 4D Gore-Tex Walking Boots. I wouldn't have paid the full price for them as I couldn't afford that (although I have to say they'd be worth it) but they were in a sale on a number of online retailers for £127. Go Outdoors honoured a price match and gave a further 10% off the matched price meaning I got them for £115 instead of £162 (£180 RRP).

I can't recommend them enough! This is my (amateur) review of them but notable points are:
1. Sturdy yet very light - feels like 'walking on clouds' - to quote my friend
2. So comfortable inside with what feels like memory foam lining in the upper as well as a conforming inner.
3. Gore-Tex material makes them waterproof - I submerse them in a lake to test this
4. Great ankle support
5. Salomon's excellent grip system
6. Look flipping awesome!
7. Breathable - my feet don't get sweaty as they do with cheap shoes
8. Lacing system is really comfortable and the tongue of the shoe doesn't bunch up and cause discomfort
