John Madden was a part of that explosive entrance of Jessica Chastain onto the movie scene, having directed her as the young Helen Mirren (or the other way around) in The Debt. They teamed up again for Miss Sloane, the story of a dark, broken, brilliant lobbyist who takes a long, hard look in the mirror. The duo talked to David Poland about the film and about America a few days before the 2016 election.
