Описание к видео Tally Hall performs Good Day at Laundromatinee.com

Tally Hall grew up, strapped their ties back on, left the tiny indie label that pushed them out of the nest, and signed on to a major label this year. The batch of songs they've been playing over the last few years, from the album Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, were re-recorded and re-mixed for their Atlantic Records re-release.

Beyond the cover songs which have also been a calling card, fan-builder and staple of their live show, the band has been playing these same songs for at least the last three to four years. Some may be hopign they are nearing the end of their life, and a new release should be on the horizon. I'm sure the band is grateful and hopeful as well. Some of the new material is starting to find its way out to the internet even.

Beyond the obvious humor and frivolity involved in their writings and recordings, this band is filled with talent and enthusiasm. Maybe it's all a little too kitchy for the band to ever end up being labeled as "great", especially at their young age, but they certainly will always fit the "clever" and "fun" categories.

Appealing to young and old alike, Tally Hall is a wholesome bunch of fun-loving musicians. When they stopped by The Pop Machine studio for our session they were all business. Displaying the talent, professionalism and charm that has helped them reach major label status and book more than a few late night talk show gigs. Their good looks, catchy melodies and tight harmonies will be enough to sell some records and keep them in the public eye even if they have to play these same songs and covers for the time being. Their next effort will be the true test of their staying-power and relevance, but the one thing you'll be able to count on is it will be fun.
