The Chandrashekhar(kapilash) Temple is situated in the north eastern part of Dhenkanal town, Orissa, India at a distance of 26 km from the district headquarters.

The temples are situated at a height of about 2239 feet from sea level.
There are two way to the temple. One is by climbing 1352 steps and the other is through travelling by the twisting way(BaraBanki).

The main tower of the temple is 60 feet tall.

During Sivaratri, Sitala Sasthi, Karthik Sombar (karthik ke mahina)
