So a good way into our vacation and while travelling down a straight road, the least of places you'd expect it to happen, someone pulls out of a side road into our van! Luckily Shane riding motorbikes and having a generally more aware hazard perception saw it coming and swerved out of the way. Unfortunately as the van is so long the rear end was still clipped. Luckily for us we all survived to tell the tale and other than the admin and initial shock we soon got over it. Our vehicle could drive on and it didn't really affect our travels other than being overly cautious now on big wide open roads that you can see for miles and junctions where you can see massive white vans driving down the road toward you and are supposed to stop haha. The people were cool, accidents happen but that's a hell of a big van to hit you if the driver didn't react! We would have completely missed it if there wasn't oncoming traffic but thankful nobody was hurt regardless, only the other driver's pride maybe. Kids were oblivious from the amount of theme parks they went to they wouldn't have noticed if they went upside down. All part of the adventure and experience, now comes the bad part of having to deal with insurance companies from different countries and 6 months before they assign it to someone and ask what happened!
