We have a foggy start for your morning commute over a large portion of the state. Dense fog has been more patchy, but there is widespread reduced visibilities across Iowa. We have clouds overhead and forecasted calm winds all day. This is not a favorable set up for fog to clear quickly, so expect the clouds and light fog to carry into the afternoon. Temperatures start in the 40s and 30s and will stay in the 40s for the afternoon.

Our next shot of sunshine will be Thursday. We will start with some patchy morning fog, but clearing is expected and warming as well with highs back in the 50s. Rain chances will return Friday, but mainly for our southern counties which will also knock down our temperatures a bit with more clouds. This won’t last long with sunny skies expected for the weekend. Highs will be in the 50s on Saturday and 60s Sunday. The warm weather will not last long with a potential cold blast deeper into next week.
