Sentence Level Stress in Mandarin (Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Adverbs)

Описание к видео Sentence Level Stress in Mandarin (Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Adverbs)

This is the first video in a series on sentence-level stress. I will go over the treatment of various parts of speech in another video, and I will also have a video just for going over the audio examples I provide at the end. If you have not seen my word-level stress videos, it might be helpful to you to check them out first.

Notes:
气球 and 汽车 (qìqiú and qìchē; balloon and car) have different first characters, but they are pronounced the same and have similar meanings.

If I forgot to change any of the 的 characters to green to indicate the 5th tone, that is a mistake. They should be green because 的 is always 5th tone except in a few words, like 目的 (aim/goal/purpose).

The Mother's Day text is from maayot.com.
