Thank you from the Kutupalong Refugee Camp
Speaking: Petra Dunne: WaterAid Program Officer
Hi I’m here today with Raiju today with her children and her brother. Raiju came to the camp in September, her husband was killed when he crossed the border and Raiju was pregnant, close to 9 months pregnant. She gave birth to her daughter, here (points to the baby) in this camp three months ago. WaterAid has been monitoring her and her family to see how they are doing. We are now inside her house, within her makeshift tent, WaterAid has constructed a dupe tube well, there is a toilet facility and a safe shower facility near here. It’s been wonderful to see Raiju and her family make it in this camp during these hard conditions. And we will continue to follow Raiju as well. Thank you.
