2024 marks 30 Years of the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway Preservation! To celebrate 30 Years of the railway. There were two guest locomotives brought for the Gala.

They were:
A GWR 7800 “Mannor” Class, No.7820 “Dinmore Manor” &
Caledonian Railway 439 Class No.419 as British Railway No.55189.

At Princes Risborough, British Rail Class 03 “D2069” was doing Breakvan rides from Platform 4 to the sidings at the south of the station.

At Chinnor, Caledonian Railway 439 Class & GWR 4500 Class “4555” were top and tail the train from Chinnor to Horsenden Lane Crossing. The loco were each swap round at each ends, given great opportunities for photographs and videos! Each of the Loco’s were wearing a different headboard. 4555 was wearing GWR No.4555 Built 1924 headboard as the loco was celebrating 100 Years since she was built! 55189 was wearing The Tinto Express headboard. A Scottish Express service from Leith North to Edinburgh Waverley. 

On the day that I was there, Dinmore Manor was pull out of service and trains were unable to run into Princes Risborough Station due to the track problems outside the station. Network Rail, who owned the track came out quick and got it fix ready for Sunday Service! The Volunteers of the Chinnor Railway did an amazing job on trying to arrange a coach for all of us to get to Chinnor and back! Every Passenger were very understanding that it wasn’t what we wanted but we still had a great day out!

And big Thank You all the volunteers of Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway for putting on a fantastic 30th Anniversary as well as sorting out the issue as best as you can! All have all done a brilliant job! I wish the Railway, dry rails and good running for the next 30th!
