Physical Standards for Women Candidates in NDA | NDA Height Criteria For Females & Males

On the 16th of September, 2021 an important verdict by the Honourable Supreme Court for the 1st time in the history of India Girls candidates were allowed to attempt the NDA exam.
For the 1st time, 1002 female candidates cleared the written of NDA II 2021, and are under SSB and going to join NDA in July 2022 for the very 1st time.
So therefore it is essential to know about the Physical Standards required for the defence services to join.
As you know well, the next NDA exam is on 10th April 2022 for which you are preparing.
In this video, you will find what to be done for the physical standard.
To join Army 152 cm min. Height is required
Whereas, the Candidates from Garhwal, Kumaon, NE and the hilly region the min. height is 148 cm only.
Because of the growing height at 18 yrs age: the Age relaxation is up to 2 cm is given.
For joining AF Flying Branch minimum height is 163 cm

Sitting height - 81.5- 96 cm

Thigh-length- max. 64 cm

Leg length - 99 – 120 cm

For joining other branches of AF the min. the required height is as per norms of the Army.

Navy: min. height is 152 cm

For the candidates from Andaman & Nicobar Island and hilly regions the min. height is 150 cm.

For the candidates from the UK, Kumaun, Gharwal, Gorkha the min. height is 147 cm.

Eyesight: 6/6 better eyesight

6/9 is worse eyesight

Myopia up to 2.5 Dioptre

Hyper myopia up to 3.5 D

Colour vision

For flying Std. I

For Army and AF – Std II or III allowed

Candidates with night blindness are not permitted

Any kind of Laser / Lasik surgery is not permitted

Permanent Tattoos: between wrist to elbow in the forearms is allowed, otherwise, any kind of tattoo is not.
