BOREHOLE DRILLING

The Water Management Resources Authority WARMA has cautioned borehole drillers to stop exploiting customers in the name of hitting dry boreholes.

This follows numerous complaints by some members of the public that borehole drillers are charging exorbitant fees for unsuccessful attempts to find water.

WARMA Public Relations Officer MUBIANA NALWENDO says Zambians should also ensure drilling companies engaged; conduct Geophysical inspections, before embarking on a drilling exercise to avoid being charged for dry boreholes.

Mr. NALWENDO told ZNBC News that the manner in which the drillers quote must also be clear and understood by the client.
