Instant Reaction: Nebraska Throttles Northern Iowa 34-3

Nebraska moves to 3-0 on the season, beating Northern Iowa, a FCS school, by the score 34-3.

The game was, well, the game was pretty good for Nebraska. The team played good all around. Dylan Raiola was masterful as the offense racked up 423 yards, including 281 pass yardage and 142 rushing.

The defense gave up 301 yards to the Panthers, 162 passing, 139 yard rushing - I bet you thought it was more, didn’t you?

A whole gob of Nebraska guys played. Two quarterbacks, eight players earned rushing statistics, 10 receivers caught passes and 25, yes, 25 players recorded defensive statistics. From that standpoint, it was a damned good game.

It was a little sloppy, it was a little boring at times, but overall, again, Nebraska gave up only three points to a team and remain undefeated before they start Big Ten play next week against Illinois.
