Visiting the "Historic Park of SUTHOTHAI". (Thailand) Mythic and majestic.

Welcome back. Today we made a tour by bike into the mytic Historic Park of Suthokai imperial ruined temple loceated at the country side of Thailand. In this video I took part on guided tour with a local guide and a group with other tourists. Enjoy the temple tour.


The tour by bike into the ruined temple park:
I took part at a guided tour through the famous worl Heritage called Historical Park of Suthokai. Accroding to the large area everyone of the group took a bike. We made stops at different places which were in the past holy buildings inside. I was more as impressed about the massive Budda figures and the old ruineds of the temples.
At the end of the tour we stopped at the memorial place of the holy king called Ramkhamhaeng from Suthokai. I had the opportunity to walk around the mounument. The local guide Sonny Prarohittanont told me many intersting things about the historc park and the monarch Ramkhamhaeng. The entire ruined temple are gives me memories to my trip to Angkor Wat at Siam Riep at the Kindom of Kambodia in 2023.


The Historic part of Suthokai:
The park includes all ruineds from the old Capital of the first kindom of Suthokai at Thailand. All of this 20 old buildings are coming from the 13 and 14 century.
The old town had 4 massive Gates and around 20 temples. The biggest and most famouns temple is the Wat Mahathat loceated at the center of the park areal. The park has a border to the city of Suthokai but some kilometers away of the street as a border are more rests of old temples.
The first year of ideas to restored the tempel area came from 1942. In the coming years the Historic park became more and more an influence. In 1964 was the opening hour of the museum of the Thailand kind called Ramkhamhaeng and opened by the king Bhumibol Adulyadey. The year were the park became a UNESCO world heritage.
