A Missouri nonprofit is working to help some of the over 37,000 homeless veterans living in the U.S. by creating tiny homes designed to get them on their feet again. The Veterans Community Project in Kansas City built a cluster of 49 small but livable homes that have everything from furniture to a fully stocked refrigerator, where they can live among others who may share their experience and provide some comfort. Dean Reynolds spoke to some of these former service members about what the project means to them for our series A More Perfect Union.
