The driver of a car carrier used Exit 48 in Batavia when the truck he was driving was calling for a DPF Regeneration. The driver said the truck was not doing it on its own, so he pulled off the thruway to the Target Plaza parking lot. He said he noticed smoke upon inspection and called 911. The car carrier was from Kansas and headed to Connecticut with new Toyota SUV's. The Town of Batavia Fire Department arrived quickly and was able to save most of the cars on the carrier.
