After a few days in the heat at Dinosaur National Monument, Flaming Gorge in UT was a welcome relief. The primitive campground at Canyon Rim was the perfect spot to enjoy the amazing views of the gorge and a great basecamp. The Canyon Rim trail that ran along the edge of the campground was great for a bumpy trail run and a beautiful intermediate mountain bike ride through fields of wildflowers. Paige got to learn a bit about photography, Laurel got to enjoy some hammock time, we all enjoyed our first fire in a quite a while because there wasn't a fire ban, and overall, our time in Flaming Gorge was awesome!
