Yet, despite this early endorsement, the modern LDS church now concedes that the 26-volume collection contains significant inaccuracies, a vague admission that raises more questions than it resolves.

Leaders decline to clarify which teachings are doctrinally sound and which are erroneous, leaving members uncertain about how to interpret the sermons once treated as authoritative.

This reluctance to identify specific problems undermines the collection’s credibility and forces students of Mormonism to navigate its contents without clear guidance regarding reliability.
