Today I'm heading to what could be Thailand's most underrated province, Uthai Thani for an unforgettable boat ride up the Sakae River as well as sampling the excellent local Thai food on offer.

I'm going to show you a Khao Kluk Kapi, a Thai rice salad, for the first time ever as well as visiting the most famous street food restaurant in Uthai Thani town. We then get some street food from the Uthai Thani Walking street which is such a friendly, fun little street (that's only on weekends).

The Sakae Krang River is the main river that flows through Uthai Thani province. It originates in the Sankambeng Range in the southern part of the province and flows for about 230 kilometers before it merges with the Chao Phraya River in Nakhon Sawan province.

The Sakae Krang River is an important source of water for the people of Uthai Thani. The river supports agriculture in the region, and many farmers rely on it to irrigate their crops. The river is also used for transportation, with boats and rafts carrying goods and people up and down the river.

In addition to its practical uses, the Sakae Krang River is also a popular destination for tourists visiting Uthai Thani. Visitors can take boat tours along the river to explore the region's natural beauty and visit historical sites such as the Wat Chantaram temple, which is located on the banks of the river.

Overall, the Sakae Krang River plays an important role in the economy and culture of Uthai Thani province and is a significant part of the region's identity.

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past five plus years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!

If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!
