No Comment: Day 7, Behind the scenes of the Red Carpet

The Official Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will take place this evening at Stockholm's City Hall. Prior to this a Red Carpet event for press and fans will take place outside EuroClub from 19:00 CET. You can watch live on Eurovision.tv.

The Red Carpet and Opening Ceremony mark the official opening of the Eurovision Song Contest. After artists and delegations have walked along the Red Carpet they will be taken to the City Hall for the Opening Ceremony. The draw to determine which half of the Grand Final that the Big Five and Sweden will perform in will also take place on the Red Carpet tonight.

Press and fans with accreditation are invited to a Welcome Party which takes place at the EuroClub immediately after the Red Carpet Event has finished. When the Opening Reception at the City Hall has finished, at approximately 22:30, delegations will arrive at EuroClub to come together with press and fans.
