#THEPITT is a medical drama that follows the daily lives of healthcare professionals in an underfunded and busy Pittsburgh hospital, specifically its emergency room, as they grapple with high-pressure situations, personal struggles, and workplace dynamics. The show, which aired on Max in 2025, focuses on the resilience and dedication of the medical staff as they navigate the challenges of saving lives in a demanding environment.

Dearden plays Dr. Melissa King, a second-year resident in the emergency department of the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. She is depicted as a compassionate and extremely empathetic, almost to a fault. She tries to find the balance between being caring and not slowing down as a doctor. Growing up with a sister who has high-support ASD, King was inspired to pursue medicine, aiming to advocate for Autism awareness. Despite facing personal tragedies, King now balances caregiving for her sister with her career as a doctor

During the #interview, Dearden discusses how she has to move like Neo from the Matrix to sometimes get the shot they want on set, how queasy she is around fake blood, and what she believes is Mel's flaws, despite the character being so pure and innocent.
