I found a couple of beach resorts in the neighboring cities of my hometown but it was Lola Sayong Eco-Surf Camp that captured my picky heart. I found them first on the Airbnb website but the booking was unsuccessful because it was over 24hours already when they saw my booking request that’s why the reservation has expired automatically. My second and final booking attempt was done on their website, but the page went broken after confirming my payment. I had to send a message on their Facebook page to confirm the booking and so for them to rectify the issue as well, preventing other prospective guests to encounter the same problem. Seeing that I have been deducted despite the broken payment confirmation page, I got a little impatient by their slow and unclear response (I was really short-tempered at this time because I wasn’t getting what I wanted lol). It turned out that it’s because they have a very weak signal at the resort.

I was skeptical if the resort is beautiful in real but then beach is beach, right? So yassss, I was more than glad when the booking was officially confirmed!

Getting there
We don’t have a car and none of us knows how to drive so we went to Lola Sayong Eco-Surf Camp by bus. The resort is in Gubat so we had to take the bus going to Sorsogon, which stops either at Shell or in front of South Star Drug in Daraga. The fare was 150php and it took us more or less 2hours to get to Gubat terminal. From Gubat Terminal, you have an option to either rent a tricycle (we paid P300) or ride a jeepney (not sure how much but it’s for sure cheaper) going to Buenavista.
