Muniyara or Munimada is a megalithic monument. These It is part of the Marayoor area in Idukki district, famous for its natural sandalwood forests and pre-historic rock paintings. Belongs to the Neolithic Age, these above ground burial chambers, made of four stones, placed on edges and covered by a fifth one called the cap stone.
Belonging to the Neolithic Age, i.e. between 3000 BC and 1400 BC, these pre-historic stone structures are among South India's prominent attractions.
