Understanding Basic Note Values!

Let's get back to basics by understanding note values ✅

There are two fundamental elements when it comes to music 👉 PITCH and DURATION! Where 'pitch' is represented by note names, we use note values to represent the duration of a sound - when it plays and for how long!

Here are some basic note values to add to your music-making repository. Use them in your own music and be creative with how you combine not values and different notes. Let's see what you come up with! 🚀 👀

🔥 HOT TIP: To get a better grasp of each note value, you can also 'sound them out' against the pulse! It could sound like this: 👂 (say it along to the video)
1/4 note: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4
8th note: 1 - AND | 2 - AND -| 3 - AND | 4 - AND
Triplet: TRI - PI - LET (repeat for each beat)
16th note: 1 - e - and - a | 2 - e - and - a (repeat for beats 3 and 4)
