How does your dog behave in this context?
Pulga is pretty respectful of my son’s space, and for the most part he is of her’s too. Of course he is a toddler and I need to watch their interactions.
However, in this moment and every time he sitting at his little table and chair she doesn’t bother him. She generally just lays down on her bed. I didn’t ask her to do that here, she just chose to do that. I also have the ability to ask her do go lay down if she were to be invasive while eating.
If my dog can’t make good choices, I want to be able to influence the moment. If I am not able to I would constantly be getting after the dog to go away and be constantly battling the dog being in my sons space which could in the long run ruin how he feels about the dog. I want their relationship to be a positive one, not having a relationship built on tolerating one or the other.
