Judge Makes Key Ruling on Using YSL Affiliate's Testimony

During an attorneys-only meeting, the state and defense discussed which portions of Antonio "Mounk Tounk" Sledge's statements on the stand will count as evidence. Judge Paige Reese Whitaker ruled that the parts where Sledge denied while testifying can come in as evidence of prior inconsistent statements in the YSL RICO case.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
