This is a true story from my very first day serving at the restaurant I now manage. I was the server that spilled the tray of drinks. I was mortified. I thought they were going to fire me. They did not and I’m very happy about that. Karen wanted one of our shirts because she was wet and uncomfortable. And that’s understandable. However, we can’t take our clothes off or trade clothes with a customer. That was the crazy request.
