This is the latest in my series analyzing disability & neurodiversity representation in media.

The makers of hit series The Big Bang Theory have been allowed to sit on the fence for too long, refusing to confirm whether or not Sheldon Cooper is autistic. I started work on this video almost 2 years ago, I watched the entire series twice, all of Young Sheldon, watched dozens of interviews & panels & read The Big Bang Theory - The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series by Jessica Radloff.

So today we find out, is Sheldon an autism stereotype? Or are the fans just "seeing things & making connections" as one of the writers suggests? And what do I actually think of the show?

Analyzing the themes of disability, ableism & marginalization in TBBT, as well as the showrunner's claims that the show "celebrates" those who are different, a love letter to neurodiversity.

Also talking about Raj's selective mutism & what happened to it, as well as Sheldon's asexuality - and asking, what made this show so popular to begin with? The answer might actually surprise you lol.
