Replacing pump on Chevy Express 2500 with 6.0L engine
Critical items
Clean the engine body free of all old gasket material, use a razor, wheel brush or fine sand paper
Don’t use silicone to hold gaskets
2 pass on torque for pump, first pass 11 ft/lbs, start middle left, middle right, then bottom left top left bottom right top right, 2nd pass 22 ft/lbs, same pattern
When filling coolant, make sure to bring up to operating temp, with heater both front and rear at full blast
