I spent the day on my scooter exploring a bit of the area around Pai. I'd planned the day in a casual way just by looking at Google Maps and noticing some interesting places that were in the same area.

My first stop was a well-known bridge with a history that dates back to World War II and even before that. The history was confusing, but by the end, I think I managed to piece most of it together.

Once I'd spent some time at the bridge, it was time for a morning coffee, and I found a place with its own interesting history and connections to two famous movies.

Nearby the coffee shop were two more places I wanted to visit. One was my second bamboo bridge of my trip around the Mae Hong Son Loop. As with the first bridge, this one lead to a quite special place.
