From Utah to BYU: Kemery Martin’s Journey to Provo and Upcoming Senior Year as Cougar Guard

Kemery Martin, a former Utah Gatorade Player of the Year and standout at Corner Canyon High School, has joined the BYU women’s basketball team for her final year of eligibility.

Kemery started her college career at the University of Utah, where she became the Utes’ second-leading scorer during her sophomore season. After transferring to Cal, she continued to shine, averaging 10.6 points per game and excelling from three-point range.

Now returning to her home state, Kemery is expected to bring her scoring ability, experience, and leadership to a young BYU roster. Coach Amber Whiting highlighted her versatility as a three-level scorer who can significantly impact the team. She’s thrilled to play in front of her family and friends again, aims to fill key roles, and contribute to BYU’s success in the Big 12.
