In this video Gerard shows how to degree a camshaft on a 540 Big Block Chevy, one of two that will be going into a boat and pushing approximately 625 HP. The engine is equipped with a Cloyes Hex-Adjust Cam gear as well as an indexable crankshaft gear that allows up to 4 degrees of total timing adjustment.

The core mechanical skills and principles still apply to this day.
