It is really hard to belive, but the melody of this song originates in Austria. In april 2017, this little melody celebrated its 15th birthday. Exactely 15 years ago, Darius, real name Christian Gmeiner, and his buddy Claudio created it in his little recording studio in Korneuburg, Austria.
After Shaun Baker wrote and spoke the lyrics, the boys released the song under the name „Jordan & Baker – Explode“.
At this time Darius couldn´t imagine that his melody, 15 years later, would become one of the 10 most famous dance melodies around the globe.
Now, millions of EDM fans, at festivals or clubs around the world shake and dance when they hear this tune. Over the years, „Explode“ was never totally gone, loads of Mash Ups, Bootlegs & Remakes were made, and „Explode“ became know to more and more people. Even superstar Armin van Buuren noticed the song. He licensend it for his label Armada, and put it on the world famous Tomorrowland CD Compilation – the accolade for Darius & Finlay.
The boys reworked their original song and are releasing it now in a very special, very catchy hardstyle mix. This time US-Singer Tii is responsible for the catchy vocal part, Graham Bell & Yoel Lewis contribute a special mix for festival freaks and Avancada deliver a solid club mix.
Darius & Finlay´s first hit was nearlly 10 years ago. They started 2008 with „Do it all night“ and had loads of other successful songs, like „Destination“, „Rock the beat“ or „Tropicali“ over the years. Now, the boys are back with their new/old evergreen „Xplode“, which will definitely be a part of austrian dance music history.
With their performance as the offical austrian support act at the David Guetta concert in Vienna and the release of „Xplode“ (Armada Music), 2017 is one of the most successful years for the 2 sympathic Austrians Darius & Finlay – so far!
