​In August 1945, Tsutomu was in Hiroshima for work when the first nuclear bomb dropped. He was badly hurt but managed to get on a train to his home... which happened to be Nagasaki. 🚉

​The First Blast: He was only 2 miles away from the explosion in Hiroshima. He suffered bad burns but survived! 🤕🔥
​The Second Blast: Three days later, while telling his boss in Nagasaki about the first bomb, the second one went off right outside the office window! 🏢

​A Long Life: Even though he was exposed to double the radiation, he lived to be 93 years old! 👴✨
​He is the only person officially recognized by the government to have survived both attacks. Talk about a real-life superhero! 🏆🇯🇵
