Cardone Experts will help you to prevent damage to your power steering pump back-plate by properly installing the pulley with this instructions:
1) Lubricate the pump shaft with an extreme pressure lubricant
2)Ensure the pulley is clean of any debris or damage
3) Lightly lubricate the shaft bore
4) Put the pulley on the shaft and thread the power steering pulley tool onto the shaft
5) Using a large wrench, turn the installation nut clockwise until the pulley is tightened in place
