Heavy snowfall has hit the Kashmir Valley since Friday afternoon, affecting transport on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. Srinagar received 6 inches of snow, while South Kashmir's Kazigund and Kulgam districts saw 1 to 2.5 feet. Many roads are snowbound, with authorities working to clear them. The Met Department forecasts snowfall to continue until Saturday afternoon. Despite challenges, army personnel continue their patrol duties.
