Flathead Catfish Fishing at Night

Come along for live flathead catfish fishing at night as we chase flathead catfish and crappie under the lights on Lake Wylie. Lake Wylie is becoming known as a place for trophy flathead catfish, and crappie fishermen have known that Lake Wylie is a destination for summer crappie fishing.

We are using cut bait for flatheads, and crappie is our bait. Many people prefer live bait for flatheads, but I believe that cut bait for flatheads will produce a lot of catfish. Fishing for catfish at night in the summer is a great way to escape the heat and boat traffic. Catfishing at night is fun and can be productive under the right conditions.
