The Houston-area group "Neal Ford and the Fanatics" were popular in the mid to late '60s, and released a number of songs that are unavailable anymore, including this one. I think that this is the best version of "All I Have to Do Is Dream" ever made. That song was written in 1958 by the husband and wife team, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant. Neal Ford & The Fanatics released this version of it in 1966 on the Tantara label, #1104, the same label that produced The Moving Sidewalks (not to be confused with BYU's more recent Tantara Records.) That small Houston label was co-owned by this record's producer, Richard Ames. The publisher is Acuff-Rose (BMI). This record is not in print, and is apparently not available anywhere, in any format, at least none that I have found other than as an occasional used vinyl record.
I believe that when you release music publicly, you touch people, no differently than a physical touch. I believe that those of us who have been so touched have a right to gain access to that music, and, if it is unavailable, as is this piece, or the owner refuses to make it available, I believe that I have the right to obtain it or make it available. I have no commercial interest of any kind in putting this on youtube, and I refuse to "monetize" anything like this. I want the owners of music to be paid for their efforts, and I don't believe in pirating music.
For almost 50 years, I've kept a "to buy" list of songs that I couldn't afford to buy then, and this was one of the first few on it.
